| VIRTUS: Protecting God's Children |
It is mandated by the USCCB Dallas Charter that all diocesan employees, clergy, religious, teachers, staff, and all volunteers who work with children or youth participate in a Protecting God’s Children for Adults training session. The link below connects to the location on the VIRTUS Website that lists currently scheduled programs within the Diocese of Richmond. To register for one of the sessions, click the Start Registration button. You will be prompted to create a user id and password. Follow the prompts to continue the registration process. After entering your personal information, a drop down will enable you to select a Diocese of Richmond training center location/date/time. Continue to follow instructions as indicated to complete the pre-registration process. There is no charge for this training.

This is an excellent educational program the Diocese of Richmond has chosen to
teach adults how to recognize and help prevent child sexual abuse.
Those who work with children & youth are REQUIRED to attend a training session!
To Register: Go to www.virtusonline.org, choose "Registration" on the left-hand side of the screen. Then select from the pull-down list "Richmond, VA (Diocese)" and click the "select" box. You must then create a User ID and Password (follow the instruction on the screen for tips on selecting). After filling in your personal information, click "continue" and you will be given an opportunity to register for a training session. [Please note that our parish is listed as "Church of St Therese (Chesapeake)" so you must look under "C" in the pick-list.] You are not required to attend a training session at your own parish. You can choose any one on the list that is convenient for you. There is no charge for this training.
