Welcome!!

We have instituted a process for incoming parishioners called the New Parishioner Orientation.  The centerpiece of this process is an agreement called the Discipleship Covenant.  The Discipleship Covenant is an agreement between each Home Church (household) and our community of St. Thérèse.  We have found that this Discipleship Covenant is a great way for new members — from the start — to understand what they can expect from the Church, as well as what the Church expects of them as participating members.

What you can expect of the Church of St. Thérèse to assist you in your commitment is our promise:

  • To make Sunday Mass the single most important focal point of parish life.
  • To welcome you to our Sunday assembly, regardless of your situation in life.
  • To maintain an open door and an open heart to you.
  • To offer you a quality Christian Faith Formation program, for all ages.
  • To be a resource center for your household.
  • To help you as a Home Church to find ways to serve the ill, the poor, the rejected, and the suffering.
  • To use the financial resources you give to us weekly in a responsible and accountable manner.

In the same way that you have expectations of your Church, though, we have expectations of you as a Roman Catholic member of this community.  We take seriously and trust that your household will take a direct role in living the Christian way of life.  Specifically, each member of our parish is expected:

  • To become more intentional Christian Homemakers by paying attention to what happens in the home regarding meals, prayer, and time
  • spent together, and to gather with us each Sunday for Eucharist.
  • To commit to a particular ministry of the Church, and
  • To commit a specific portion of your financial income to the church, and give each week, using Sunday envelopes.

Stop by the parish office during the week, or the Information Desk in the commons when you come to Mass on the weekend, to pick up your yellow welcome packet.  You will be asked to complete a postcard with your contact information so that you may be reached to schedule your New Parishioner Orientation.  Once you complete the paperwork and attend the New Parishioner Orientation session, you will be a registered member of the parish.
