Join us in person Tuesday, October 1 (6-7pm) to celebrate the Feast Day of
St Therese of Liseaux “Child of Jesus and the Holy Face” and the Centennial of the chapel at Fort Story that bears her name.
A living relic of The Holy Face will be on display and the chapel doors of this historic building will be open. The address is 701 Atlantic Avenue, Fort Story.
There will be a live band ensemble and cake will be served.

Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face:
Known as “Little Flower,” she is one of the great saints of the modern era. A Carmelite nun, she pledged “to spend her time in heaven doing good on earth.” St Therese reminds us that “God is in every situation and person and in the ordinary, simple details of life” and that simple heartfelt prayers are heard by Him.
Her “little way” serves as a beacon and her religious name points us towards Jesus and the promise of the Holy Face made through the Carmelite Sister Marie Pierina (1936), “Every time that anyone gazes at My Face, I will pour My love into hearts and by means of My Holy Face, the salvation of many souls will be obtained.”
