Grief Share is a 13-session Christ-centered grief support program that offers hope and healing after the death of a loved one. The three-part program includes a video seminar with valuable insights from counselors, pastors, teachers, and personal stories of people who have found healing after a loved one’s death. Group members will discuss what they learned on the video and recent challenges.  A participant’s guide includes notetaking outlines; short exercises; journaling prompts, and scriptures.  A participant can join at any time during this multi-week program.

Join us on February 13, 2025 from 10 a.m.-Noon. This week’s topic is, “Fearful and Overwhelmed”. A 30-minute video presentation and group discussion will cover how worry is a fear of what might happen, not what will happen; how having a plan can prevent grief overload; and how fear reminds you to depend on a trustworthy God.

You may register online at https://www.griefshare.org/groups/253210 , which will take you directly to the St. Therese registration site or you may call the parish office at (757) 488-2553.  For additional information, contact Mary Trude at [email protected] or Cecilia Hill at [email protected]

We are offering a special Grief Share seminar on the “Loss of a Spouse” on February 16, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Information includes: How other people understand and have found ways to make it through; why it won’t always hurt so much; reasons for hope; and practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse.  The seminar includes a video and group discussion. You do not need to be a participant of the 13-week program to attend.
