Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Christmas
Church of St. Therese will again support Angel Tree Christmas. For those who are unaware, Angel Tree Christmas gives incarcerated parents a way to provide a Christmas gift and a personal message to their children as a tangible representation of their love. Each child will be given two gifts (one “clothing item” and one “non-clothing item (toy, gift card, craft, etc.). Each gift should be new and valued at approximately $25. Prison Fellowship is currently identifying the children we will sponsor and gift tags will be available the weekend of November 16/17 for parishioner’s selection/signup to purchase gifts. In addition to Gift Buyers, we will also be looking for volunteers to deliver gifts to families. Parishioners have been very supportive in the past and bought more than what was identified; however, while this is wonderful for the child, if that child has other brothers and sisters who are only receiving two gifts, it’s somewhat awkward. To alleviate this, if you would like to support a child with multiple gifts or a whole family or have questions, please contact Patty Hankins, at [email protected] or (757) 217-7620 prior to November 14th.
